The squash club at Kirkbymoorside is approaching 35 years old and has a recent upturn in fortune so much so that a 2nd team was requested in the York & District League for the current season.
Sadly, it was too late to avoid major disruption and KMS2 has had to be put on hold for a season. With a squash of 18 players for one team, the situation was difficult for Club Captain John Marsh and John Sugarman, the 2nd team Captain to be.
In a superb effort, John has set about creating friendly fixtures against the current Division 5 teams. Thank you to the teams already having arranged fixtures. I will be keeping a track of the results on this website with a percentage table of games won. If Kirkbymoorside are top of the table at the end of the season, it will be a good indicator that they will be at home in Div 4 not Div 5 next season.
